My Fitness Journey
Like many young girls, I grew up with little confidence, a negative body image, and disordered eating and exercising habits. I did not eat nearly enough food and I did tons of cardio and ab workouts. I was depressed, unconfident, stressed and not feeling great overall.
In 2019, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. I knew I needed to change how I was living in order to live a healthy and happy life. I began eating more and exercising less, but still had some unhealthy patterns show up.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, I had a bit of time on my hands. I started to go the gym. At the beginning I mostly used the cardio machines and occasionally used assisted machines. I was very insecure in the gym, I felt like I didn't belong.

I slowly started to incorporate more free weight exercises and strength training into my routine. I started getting stronger and practicing progressive overload, increasing my weights each week. It took a few months but I had transformed the way I viewed exercise. I was trying to get stronger instead of skinnier.
My diet and other habits fell into place. I was eating the correct amount of calories for my body and fueling myself with nutrient dense foods. In 2021, I decided to take NASM's Certified Personal Trainer course and pursue a career in fitness.

Now, I have unshakeable confidence, in and out of the gym. I've gained muscle, lowered my body fat and feel stronger and healthier than I ever have. I am managing my Ulcerative Colitis and have little to no symptoms anymore. I even saw changes in my depression and anxiety. I love my body and everything it does for me.

I want to help other women shift their view on fitness, nutrition and wellness and meet their lifestyle goals. If you are looking to transform your lifestyle , I would love to work together!
